These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Eduba mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By downloading, installing, or using Eduba you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Eduba on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
2 Description of Service
Eduba is a mobile learning application that offers:
- A digital bookstore to browse and access educational books.
- Smart flashcard reviews to help you retain what you read.
- Progress tracking, streaks, and personalized review scheduling.
- Optional premium subscriptions for full content access.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3 Account Registration
To use most features you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with anyone.
- Notify us immediately at m.j.h.a.e.w@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4 Subscriptions & Payments
Free tier. Eduba offers a free tier with limited access to content and features.
Premium subscription. A paid subscription unlocks full access to the book library and all features. Subscription fees are displayed in the app before purchase.
Billing. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. All billing, renewals, and payment processing are governed by the respective store's terms.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the app without permission.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app.
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Share your account credentials or allow others to access the Service through your account.
- Upload or transmit any malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the app by automated means.
6 Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Eduba — including but not limited to the app design, logo, text, graphics, flashcard system, and underlying code — are owned by or licensed to Eduba and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
7 Content & Third-Party Books
Books and learning materials available in Eduba are provided by publishers and content partners. Access is subject to their licensing terms. We make no guarantees about the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any third-party content.
We are not responsible for the views expressed in books available through the Service.
8 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
As-is service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
No guarantee of results. We do not guarantee that using Eduba will result in any specific learning outcome.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eduba and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.
9 Termination
By you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
10 Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via in-app notice or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
11 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Eduba operates. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us directly. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
